Feature/cleaning up observable system

Description

• Cleaned up the observables system
• Changes to help with loading time issues
• SYSTEMLOGGER: Changed so that multiple barrett logs can be made... However, this needs to be fixed so that they can be stitched back together see issue #136, but also #143
  • @ab let's discuss this, but I would like to handle this fix in another MR
